Food for hungry stomachs, not for the trash
About 20 million tons of food are annually thrown into the trash in Germany. The so-called "Tafeln" made it into their task to serve the poorest inhabitants with what society overproduces - for example in Hamburg.

Ein Zuhause für alte, kranke und verletzte Katzen
Um die 60 Tiere werden auf dem Gnadenhof betreut. Hier finden die Tiere bis zu ihrem Lebensende ein Zuhause. Ohne Käfighaltung leben die Katzen in einem 120 Quadratmeter großen Haus mit angrenzendem 80 Quadratmeter großen Freigehege. Die Betreuung der Tiere und alle anstehenden Arbeiten werden von ehrenamtlichen Helferinnen und Helfern übernommen.

6.9 millions of children worldwide die before their 5th birthday - 40 percent of them do not even reach an age of a month. About 287,000 do not survive the birth of their child each year. With the campaign "Time to share", UNICEF appeals for donations for the surviving of newborns and their mothers.
