Laureus Sport for Good Foundation Germany

The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation Germany/Austria campaigns for social change

The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation Germany was founded in 2001 as the first national Laureus foundation. The assignment of tasks of the foundation follows the basic idea that Nelson Mandela gave to Laureus: social change through sports. In Germany, this aim is currently played out in nine sports projects for children and youths in Berlin, Bremen, Munich, Cologne and Stuttgart. The activities are supported by the three German Laureus Academy membes Boris Becker, Franz Beckenbauer and Katarina Witt, the Austrian academy member Franz Klammer and by several prominent sportsmen, sportswomen and personalities.
