About 22,000 children and youths in Germany are suffering from an incurable disease which leads to death. Only in Central Germany, about 6,000 of those children live. For the affected persons, their parents, brothers and sisters, the world is not the same after the diagnosis. Desperation, grief and anger  begin to dominate their lives, as the round-the-clock care for the child are a mental and physical burden. Within three years, a stational children's hospice with twelve places for terminally ill children and families has been created in Tambach-Dietharz. They are receiving are holistic helping offer on their woebegone way. The motto is "Do not give more days to life but more life to the days."
