Josef Schörghuber Foundation for children in Munich

For children from socially deprived families in Munich

For more than 15 years, the Josef Schörghuber Foundation boosts for children from socially deprived families in Munich. After the foundation in 1995 and with an amount of 2.7 millions euro, the foundation made the participation in leisure or holiday activities, class trips and programmes of public and cultural institutions possible for more than 68,500 children. The social commitment of Josef Schörghuber was based on his own childhood experiences. For a long time, his parents could not afford holidays for him. Then, the parish took care of him. Later, he had the idea of boosting for children from socially deprived households and to show his bond to the city of Munich.
