Since 2008, PEN PAPER PEACE e.V. supports two schools for more than 600 children in the deprived quarters of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. As school attendance even at public schools is liable to pay costs in Haiti, those children from very poor families would miss the access to education. Thanks to the organisation, they learn reading, writing and calculating and they have a continual, safe place to go in their lives. Both schools have even more spheres of influence as they empower the families of the pupils and create jobs for the local skilled workers.
