Wings for Life wants to heal paraplegia. Following this aim, the research foundation boosts scientific projects and clinic studies around the world since 2004. The driving forces behind Wings for Life are the two-times Motocross World Champion Heinz Kinigadner and the Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz. "My son had an accident and is paraplegic since then" says Heinz Kinigadner. A fate of millions of people being dependant from a wheelchair. To find effective therapies and drugs, Wings for Life boosts the spinal cord research. Luckily, there are frequent improvements. "We are on a good way" Kinigadner says. "The more people support us, the sooner we can reach our aim to heal paraplegia." 100% of the donations run into the spinal cord research.

Since 2004, with the help of donations from individuals and companies, Wings for Life has been funding promising research projects and clinical studies to heal the injured spinal cord.
